On January 13, 2024, Peacock streamed the first-ever NFL game for the AFC Wild Card matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins, which caused a divide online between football zealots, cable lovers and cord-cutters. To promote that matchup, I worked with director Chris Parker and Wasserman to develop “Beast Quake Breakdown,” a play-by-play perspective of Marshawn Lynch’s famous 67-yard run against the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Wild Card game in 2011. I tapped into my Bay Area bag to write for Beast Mode, but he made sure to keep the essentials and added that flare that only he could do.
