There’s two things Klay Thompson loves and that’s basketball and boating. To honor his ninth signature sneaker with Chinese-based apparel and footwear brand Anta, the company created a campaign that celebrates his off-court passion, and how the ebbs and flows of the ocean are synonymous with Thompson’s 13-year NBA career. I wrote “Captain Klay,” a 60-second spot that highlights Thompson’s two passions and what he’s learned about the game while out at sea.
